Structural Engineering
BCE delivered a full suite of engineering services for upgrading multiple communication towers across Alaska’s Arctic region. The project included field inspections, as-built documentation, structural analyses, and design enhancements tailored to support new antenna configurations. Detailed computer modeling to evaluate tower performance was conducted under updated loading conditions, then produced revised drawings specifying antenna types, placements, attachments, and other critical details. Executed through multiple concurrent task orders, the work demanded precision and adaptability, especially in remote locations where temperatures dropped below –45°F. This project highlights BCE’s ability to deliver high-performance infrastructure solutions in some of the most extreme environments on Earth.
