BCE provided full-spectrum architectural and engineering design services for the State of Alaska’s Lake Hood Aircraft Hangar, transforming the facility to meet modern operational and safety standards. Key improvements included the addition of a new mezzanine level to expand storage capacity, enhanced security and safety features at the boat launching ramp, such as advanced surveillance and access control systems—and comprehensive HVAC upgrades to integrate energy-efficient mechanical and electrical systems. Through thoughtful design and multidisciplinary coordination, BCE elevated the hangar’s functionality, safety, and long-term maintainability, ensuring it meets current industry standards and serves the State of Alaska reliably for years to come.
